Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is located on the Mediterranean coast of northeastern Spain, on the plain between the Sierra de Colserola and the sea. It is bordered to the north and south by the rivers of Besos and Llobregat. Within the crown of Aragon, it is also one of the largest cities in Spain, has a population of more than one million and a half people and its suburbs four million people, and a population density of 15.931 people / km² and an area of about 101.4 km², we will provide the most important information about this city during this article from my recent visit to this Spanish city.

Now I will show you the places I've visited and I recommend you to visit:

1- PLAZA DE CATALUNYA :

This square is the heart of Barcelona; it beats with strength and is full of life.
Meeting point, it's also the geographical space which separates the districts of Ciutat Vella and Eixample.
Full of history, Plaça de Catalunya is the nerve center of the Catalan capital.

2- LAS RAMBLAS :

RAMBLAS is one of the main arteries of Barcelona and one of the most famous places of the city.
It is a pleasant 1.3 km walk from Plaza Catalunya to the old port of the city.
Moreover it is near this place it is the Plaça Reial a magical place decorate with palm trees, I booked my hotel: Kabul Party Hostel with a reasonable price in relation to services offers and location
The Ramblas are still very busy, filled with tourists and street performers standing still like statues. The promenade has many terraces where it is pleasant to sit to attend the comings and goings of passersby. However, prices are higher than elsewhere in Barcelona because it is a very tourist area.

3- LA BOQUERIA :

La Boqueria is a famous market located in El Raval with a market entry from La Rambla.
You can find a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, sweets as well as meat, fish, cheese and dairy products.
However, even if you are not looking to buy anything on the market, a full-fledged tour is warranted to appreciate the atmosphere and admire the explosion of fresh fruit colors in the stalls.

4- SAGRADA FAMILIA  :

La Sagrada Família is the undisputed icon of Barcelona and the masterpiece of Antoni Gaudí. It is the most visited monument in the city. Recognizable from a distance by its towering towers that rise into the sky, it has two exterior facades that challenge the visitor. It is truly the interior of the basilica that best reflects the genius of Gaudí. Today, the basilica is still under construction. The end date of the works is scheduled for 2026.

5- Christopher Columbus Statue  :

Built as a tribute to the famous navigator Christopher Columbus, the Columbus Monument is a 60 meter high mirador located next to the port of Barcelona.

The statue of Columbus was built as the culmination of the improvement work on the city's coast, on the occasion of the 1888 Barcelona World Fair. The monument was designed by Gaietà Buïgas i Monravà and built by the sculptor Rafael Atché . The ensemble was awarded the gold medal of the 1888 World Fair before becoming one of the symbols of Barcelona.

6- CASA BATLLO  :

Casa Batlló is one of two great buildings designed by Antoni Gaudí on Passeig de Gràcia, the other being La Pedrera.
From the outside, the façade of Casa Batlló seems to have been made of skulls and bones.
The "skulls" are actually balconies and the "bones" of the pillars.

Gaudí used the colors and forms of marine life as inspiration for his creativity in this building, for example. the colors chosen for the facade are those of the natural coral.

7- Parc Güell :

is an emblematic area of the city of Barcelona, declared World Heritage by UNESCO, and which receives daily a large influx of visitors.
Access regulation guarantees the preservation and maintenance of the monumental heritage which is the most fragile and most visited area.
the second most visited monument in the city with 2 780 000 visitors in 2016. A very popular visit, full of emotion, magic and surprises in a place like only Antoni Gaudí knew how to get them out of the ground!

A major attraction, a walk in this park will make you discover some of the most beautiful symbols of the city to mention for example the famous mosaic salamander or the large terrace surrounded by wavy banks that offers a breathtaking view of the horizon.

8- BARCELONETA BEACH :

This beach is inextricably linked to the district of the same name, La Barceloneta, the most marine district of Barcelona, where Barcelonas will generally enjoy fish dishes, seafood and tapas.

Located in a traditional fishing district, it is one of the oldest and most beloved beaches of Barcelona.

it is here that tourists enjoy their summer holidays to swim and get tanned.

9- Agbar Tower :

Located at the crossroads of Diagonal Avenue and Badajoz Street, the Agbar Tower is one of Barcelona's most important and emblematic skyscrapers.

It is a striking building, located in Barcelona's new technological district, which is now part of the city's urban landscape. It is particularly showy at night, when its facade is covered with lights and colors.

10- CAMP NOU ( Barça Stadium):

An impassive witness to the victories and defeats of the team that gave birth to him, the stadium enjoys enormous worldwide renown, which makes him a place both popular and hated.

Although at the beginning its name is that of Stadium of FC Barcelona, at the popular level it was renamed under the name of "Camp Nou", since this stadium replaced the old ground of Les Corts. The 2000/2001 season, the name of Camp Nou was formalized after a popular consultation, by mail, with the socios of the club. Of the 29,102 responses sent to the club, a total of 19 .861 (68.25%) preferred Camp Nou to FC Barcelona Stadium.
